Wondering what your first year as a UNB student may look like? Unsure about your next steps? First-Year Fundamentals will discuss the transition from high school to university and make sure you're feeling well prepared for your next chapter to begin at UNB.

We'll spend 30 minutes answering the following questions, plus we'll be available afterwards for a follow-up Q&A session:

• Academic programs offered at UNB

• When are the important deadlines?

• Where will I spend my time on campus?

• What can I expect my classes to be like?

• Who can I reach out to for help?

• Why should I choose UNB?

At the end of the event we'll draw live for a UNB sweater and you'll be entered into our free first-year tuition contest.

Take advantage of Accelerated Admissions

UNB is currently providing a free application fee to all students who attend a virtual event.

Taking advantage of our accelerated admissions program means that you can apply for free and receive an admissions decision on your application within 48 hours of the event you attend.

Interested? Here are the steps you need to follow:

1. RSVP to this event.

2. Apply to a UNB undergraduate program

3. Choose the "pay later" option when asked to pay.

4. Have your guidance counsellor or the institution you study at send the most recent version they have of your transcript to chooseunb@unb.ca at least 24 hours before the event.

5. Attend this event.

6. Following your confirmed attendance, we'll pay your application fee and submit your application for processing. Our admissions office will be in touch with a decision within 48 hours. We will contact you with an answer regarding your application results during the event.

Accelerated admissions is only available to those applying with a transcript from a Canadian High School.

Accelerated admissions is not available for the Bachelor of Nursing (FR), Renaissance College (FR) or Health Sciences (SJ) programs.
